Eligibility. Six months after successful completion of Step 1 and Step 2.
After completion of Step 2, a six (6) months practicing period is required before Step 3 can be taken. Step 3 is the last training program for participants in the process of obtaining Board Certification from The American Board of Aesthetic Medicine of Cosmetic Surgery. This course is designed to master the field of aesthetic medicine beyond essential knowledge and skills. Participants will gain competence and confidence to combine aesthetic modalities in their treatment and care of their patients.
Participants will learn how to acquire, process and inject platelet rich plasma to use in combination for treatments. The science behind PRP, periocular and perioral rejuvenation, P shot and O short and treatments, management and complications for PRP / PRF will be covered. Essential concepts in stem cell therapy and fat transfer is covered.
Knowledge and Techniques in Threads to reposition laxed facial tissues as well as combining threads with HA fillers , Sculptra and other energy based treatments will be taught. Scars and management and treatment of scars and other different aesthetic concerns will also be covered.
Finally, the art of aesthetic practice, patient experience, business side of your aesthetic practice is an important topic to ensure you will have success when you embark on this new journey of the aesthetic medicine practice.
A Certificate in Qualification Course for Board exam will be issued upon completion of Step 3 program of studies.
